Over the Sundays leading up to Christmas we join churches around the world in celebrating the advent of Jesus. Advent speaks to the "arrival" of Jesus into our world. We remember and cherish his first advent two millenias ago in Bethlehem on that silent and holy night, and we connect with our deep longing for his second and final advent. Everything changed when Jesus first arrived. A light broke into darkness and overcame it once and for all.
