The Renew Justice Team will be packing backpacks for Get On The Bus. We have the backpacks but need notebooks, folders, fidget spinners, hand sanitizer, tissues, board games, and face painting kits. You can bring the items to service on Sunday, March 9th, or order them from our Amazon wishlist to be delivered here no later than Friday, March 14th.

Renew Women's Ministry is hosting a Spring Blooms Event for all our ladies. Together we will make small floral arrangements for your enjoyment and hear from our Women's Ministry team how Jesus makes all things new! All you have to do, is bring a small vase or mason jar (8oz)  and we will provide the flowers. We'll also have a light snack. This event will take place on March 1st, from 10am-12pm. Although most Christians are familiar with Jesus' Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), many find it difficult describing what discipleship is, and have an even more difficult time outlining a practical, Biblical approach to making disciples. Renew exists to make disciples who are renewed by the Gospel and become Gospel renewal to the city, and that's where the Making Disciples Class comes in. In this class we'll be teaching on and discussing the following questions:

1. What is discipleship?

2. Why do we make disciples?

3. How do we make disciples?

4. What is a Discipleship Group at Renew?

5. How do I lead a Discipleship Group?

6. How do I preach the Gospel?

GIVING TUESDAY, is a day set aside for generosity towards causes that are doing good in this world. Black Friday is all about shopping for “me.” Giving Tuesday is all about giving out to bless others. Of the places you intend to give to, we ask that you consider making a special gift to RENEW.

For all the gifts that come in on GIVING TUESDAY, we will give 25% to our outside partners (Testimony Ministries, Olive Crest, Claris). The rest will go towards making Renew our permanent home so that we can continue to make disciples and be a beacon of light in Santa Monica and beyond.

Renew, it’s time to celebrate! On Sunday, November 17, we’ll be ordaining our first set of elders during the 9:30 and 11:00am services. The elder candidates (Dihan Lee, Raul Ortiz, Tina Dario, Paul Dario, Patricia Williams, Ben Morris) were approved by our members in December 2023 and have undergone 9 months of training in 2024. They have been approved for ordination by Renew's Board of Directors. Let’s pray for and encourage them as they step into this important leadership role!
